Four branch members travelled to Bakewell in Derbyshire to present an Eastbourne Beer of the Festival award to Thornbridge Brewery in their tap room. One of the brewers, Dom (centre) accepted the award and showed them the surviving iconic Burton Union system in use. The Crown pub and Ninkaci bar in Eastbourne are run by husband and wife team, Andy and Jo. At a joint presentation at the Crown, Andy was presented with the Community Pub of the Year and Jo the branch bar with the highest average National Beer Score in 2024.
